If you have a thing for retro design you’re going to love this USB microphone. It features of course a retro inspired microphone. Which yes is a little more bulky than it needs to be, but it’s worth it to get the overall retro look. It uses radio-frequency identification, so you can move about the room with it as long as you’re within three meters. As you’re wandering you won’t have to worry about tripping over any wires, you can make a fool of yourself anyway though by singing into it.

It will support Windows XP, Vista and Mac OSX. It also does not require drivers for either XP or Vista. The microphone measures 80 x 80 x 160mm and has a On/Off button directly on it. Likely this microphone will probably make you want to listen to music along the lines of Fred Astaire as opposed to the more recent artists. To pick one up it will cost you $29.

The Sennheiser MX W1 is able to wirelessly connect to an MP3 Player, but it does not use any Bluetooth at all. Instead, it relies on Kleer corporation’s digital transmission technology, which uses the same 2.4 GHz range, but has better streaming of CD-quality sound for your ears.

The user needs to attach a transmitter to his or her MP3 Player via headphone jack. In fact, I believe these wireless headphones will work for any device that has a headphone jack.

It doesn’t look like the transmitter is powered by the MP3 Player or other electronic device, as you will also have to charge the transmitter and earbuds. The transmitter will last for about 10 hours, while the earbuds can last 3 to 5 hours. The headphones come with a special carrying case with a built-in battery that allows a full recharge of the earbuds three times.

Unfortunately, this wireless technology does not come cheap. In this case, this Sennheiser MX W1 will cost about $499.99.

A month after Amimom established a consortium to promote its WHDI (wireless) codec that makes gadgets natively interoperable, Mitsubishi announced its first HDTV that takes full advantage of the tech: The Mitsubishi ‘Living Fit’ TV.

So what seems interesting about it? Start with the quirky fact that the system comes in two parts. One is a very thin LCD screen (expected to be 1.5 in. or so), and the other is a separate box that includes a Blu-ray optical drive and sends out the wireless signals to the TV.

This means that if all your other TVs are WHDI-enabled and are within 100 feet of the receiver box, uncompressed HD video will stream automatically, bypassing physical barriers like walls and furniture.

The second main feature is that the wireless gets rid of the mess of cables completely — plug in your TiVo or another media player to the box, put them in the closet and let the feed take care itself.

While the 1920 x 1080p (full HD resolution) TV is expected to come out in Japan at first, expect to see it in the U.S. by next year.

The energy transfer is done through some tiny contact points that come in physical contact with the pad. As soon as the points get in contact with the pad, the energy is transferred from the pad to the electronic device. Such direct contact allows for a very efficient and safe power transfer without generating harmful radiation or magnetic fields.
For those of you who are not familiar with the WiiFit, it is a pressure sensitive balance board that allows users to exercise with aerobic, toning, and balance activities, all “supervised” by a virtual trainer.
Not only will the WiiFit do exercise-based games like push-ups, but there are other games that are fun for all ages. For example, a user can wiggle to a virtual hula hoop or play a soccer goalie who is blocking shots with his or her head.

In short, the WiiFit is the best way to get video game players off of the couch since the invention of WiiSports. No doubt Jane Fonda would have sponsored the WiiFit if it had been invented during the time of the Atari 2600. Nintendo has officially announced that the WiiFit will be released on May 19th.
