The famous 6x telescope now finds it compatible with the latest iPhone 3G. What this does is give you 6x optical zoom making zoomed images far better quality then the regular digital zoom you would normally use.

Using the telescope is easy and is just a matter of putting your phone in a supplied crystal type case. Once there the 6x zoom camera attaches to the rear over the regular iPhone’s camera lens.

The 6x telescopic lens costs just $19.

The latest neat convergence box is this external battery pack for the iPhones 1 and 2. Like other external batteries, the iPower Portable Power Station juices the battery of the iPhone from its own reserves. When the iPower’s battery charge falls below five percent, it stops feeding the iPhone. Why? Because of the other feature, an external speaker. Apparently, that last five percent is enough to keep the iPower’s speaker running for seven more hours.

It gets better. Although the iPower is only designed for use with the two iPhones, it could be pressed into service (we think) for the iPod Touch, which actually needs an external speaker. The sound all goes through the dock connector, so as long as you can squeeze the Touch into the case (which is expandable) you should be good to go. $44.

And even if the saving energy isn’t your concern, this might be a good solution if you have issues with iPhone 3G’s meager battery life. Just make sure to slap on some sunblock.

The energy transfer is done through some tiny contact points that come in physical contact with the pad. As soon as the points get in contact with the pad, the energy is transferred from the pad to the electronic device. Such direct contact allows for a very efficient and safe power transfer without generating harmful radiation or magnetic fields.
The T80 does not look much better than LG’s previous PMP models and I wonder if this wasn’t a deliberate attempt to not look like the iPod Touch. We have to remember that this is the manufacturer of the Prada phone we’re talking about and if there’s a manufacturer out there that has every right to “clone” iPhone or iPod Touch, it’s LG.

Anyway, the LG T80 boasts a 3-inch 420 × 240-pixel touchscreen with 260k colors with MPEG, MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, ASF, JPEG, TXT support, and FM tuner, a Mic and a DVB-T (TNT) tuner. It plays 5.5 hours of video and 2 hours of TV viewing. It’s priced at 299 euros.
