This computer looks like a normal book on the outside, but when you open it you are about to find a complete PC that includes everything a normal laptop would. It’s still just a concept but it would surely make a good impression, but also a statement about the society’s virtualization – something that not everyone would agree wit. But still it’s an interesting product. The Laptop Book, has a CD-Rom drive complete with CD, a keyboard that can be removed so as to access the battery, and a switch that turns off the screen light once the book is closed.

Immagine a thief breaking into your library looking for a hidden safe, and when he finds this susspicious book he realises it’s nothing but a PC… that would surely surprise him .

With the advent of the incessantly beeping and easily concealable Annoy-a-tron, ThinkGeek has ushered in a new era of sophisticated office pranks sure to drive your co-workers bonkers while you snicker silently at your desk. Now the next advanced level in stealthy office joke electronics is ready for your enjoyment. The Phantom Keystroker may look like a harmless circuit board, but it’s actually a devious contraption of unlimited office-based torture. Simply discreetly attach the Phantom Keystroker to any extra USB port on your victim’s computer, no drivers needed. The Keystroker emulates a keyboard and mouse and periodically makes random mouse movements and types out odd garbage text and phrases. A simple jumper setting allows you to choose between either keyboard garbage typing, annoying mouse movements or both. An adjustment pot sets the duration between “events”. We recommend you don’t set it too frequently so as to extend the agony.

Your hapless co-worker pal will think his computer has been possessed or infected by a destructive virus. As he writhes in anger and furiously dials tech support you can rest easy with a job well done.

A new IBM supercomputer reduces energy waste and packs a record number of processors in a small space, its called the HydroCluster. With only 448 processors its capable of performing trillions of operations per second. Just a few years ago it toked thousand of processors powering hundreds of computers stored in giant buildings with massive ear conditioning bills to do what HydroCluster does.

The secret ? its simple, first HC uses the fastest microprocessor in the world IBM Power 6 which today smashed trough the 5 GHz barrier, the first time a chip is ever run-ed at this kind of speed. Second it uses an innovative technology that brings water almost all the way to the chip. The most advanced water cooling of its kind. Than after the water passes trough the system it is pumped for example into a heating system for a small neighborhood.

This heavily modded, liquid-cooled PC is strictly for use while parked (unless you want to strap a monitor to your lap while riding, and connect a really long extension cord). While it may not have serious racing horsepower, I’m sure it’s got plenty of processing speed. Perhaps inspired by last year’s SLI-Machine wheel PC, The computer cycle was built by Russian casemodder Dennis Ilyin (a.k.a. “Xooler”) in a recent NVIDIA-sponsored case building contest.
