Eagle-eyed Gadget Lab readers, we need your help. These pictures are supposedly leaked shots of Nikon’s expected new DSLR, the D90, which may be officially announced tomorrow. The timing is certainly right: camera manufacturers generally announce new models just before the big German camera trade-show, Photokina, in an effort not to get swamped by the news overload from the show.

The specs, according to Nikon Rumors: The D90 will have a 12.3 megapixel sensor, a 3″, live view LCD with face detection, a maximum ISO of 6400 and a “powerful speaker” for video playback.

Of course, we’ve been here before. Way back in June we heard that the D90 was imminent, and that came from the same source — Nikon Rumors. This time, though, the images are a little better. The first of the pictures below show the rather ridiculously bad Photoshop effort from that June story, followed by two more up-to-date “leaked” pictures. So snap to it, Gadget Labbers. Are these real or fake?
