The addition for this device is a detachable Global Positioning System, which incorporates features such as Bluetooth support, left-handed controls, convenient large-sized buttons, turn-by-turn voice directions, and a ride planner that helps the rider connect to the HD website.
The customizable navigation features of the Zumo 550 are what you would call ‘motorcycle-friendly’. It also includes a Glove-friendly touchscreen; a high-brightness, sunlight-readable, UV-resistant display; and a motorcycle console for trip information, including a fuel gauge. It comes with preloaded City Navigator® NT street maps and is built with vibration-tested, waterproof, and fuel-resistant plastics for a rugged Harley ride.
The Road Tech zūmo can be bought at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and authorized Harley-Davidson dealers for a cool $799. If you’re a free-spirited biker, you now have a logical reason to accept ‘directions’.
