Nintendo has announced a Wi-Fi router, for use with the DS and the Wii. We, along with the majority of gaming fans, hold out our hands palm upwards, tilt our heads slightly to one side and shrug. “Why?” we ask.

The Wii and the DS handheld both have Wi-Fi already, both of which will work with any existing router. Perhaps the name will give us a clue: “Nintendo WiFi Network Adapter”. Some Nintendo users report difficulty in connecting to their wireless networks, and this box could be intended to hook up to your regular home router and provide a Nintendo-friendly signal. The three-position switch on the back adds credibility to this notion — you can select either Router, Bridge or Auto.

These same perplexed gamers are wondering why the big N’s R&D time has gone into this, rather than a hard drive for the Wii. A strange choice, to be sure, but not unprecedented. Apple has been selling Airport routers for years, and they are pretty much guaranteed to work with a Mac out of the box. For home gamers seeking an easy solution, Nintendo’s ¥5,800 (US$53) box might be just the thing.

The energy transfer is done through some tiny contact points that come in physical contact with the pad. As soon as the points get in contact with the pad, the energy is transferred from the pad to the electronic device. Such direct contact allows for a very efficient and safe power transfer without generating harmful radiation or magnetic fields.
Capable of accessing thousands of internet radio stations via your existing Wi-Fi network, the stylish Blik automatically uploads the latest station listings every time you switch it on. You can then search for your favourites by country or genre. You get easy access to over 8,000 internet radio stations.

It has alot of fancy features like the large black LCD screen with icons, stereo RCA line-oout connectors and includes compact remote control. The BLIK Wi-Fi Radio has a very complexe alarm clock that contains Internet radio, FM radio or buzzer, two separate alarm memories, user-definable snooze and a customisable sleep function between 15 – 90 minutes. So you shouldn’t have to worry about setting up your alarm every day.

You don’t need a computer for this to work, all you need is a Wireless router and a Broadband internet connection. If you love listening to the internet radio stations and you dont have a PC available or you’re tired and you’re not in the mood to access it, this seems to be the perfect choice for you.

For those of you who are not familiar with the WiiFit, it is a pressure sensitive balance board that allows users to exercise with aerobic, toning, and balance activities, all “supervised” by a virtual trainer.
Not only will the WiiFit do exercise-based games like push-ups, but there are other games that are fun for all ages. For example, a user can wiggle to a virtual hula hoop or play a soccer goalie who is blocking shots with his or her head.

In short, the WiiFit is the best way to get video game players off of the couch since the invention of WiiSports. No doubt Jane Fonda would have sponsored the WiiFit if it had been invented during the time of the Atari 2600. Nintendo has officially announced that the WiiFit will be released on May 19th.

JANAP DESIGN 2008 Salone Internazionale del MobileJANAP DESIGN 2008, and the interior design fair, “Salone Internazionale del Mobile” will be held as part of the Design Exhibition. 15 Cars and appliances, information-related equipment, such as Japan’s major industries from 15 companies participated.

This looks like the perfect laptop for those who are tired of the usual models and want to try something new, even thou I think it’s more of a “business man” model since it’s covered in wood. I don’t see many teenagers prefering this instead of the other types.

Some sources from MTV Networks indicate that Microsoft is working on a Wiimote Controller specially designed for X-Box 360. Also able to receive signals from a LED sensor bar (like the Wii), but one-ups the Wiimote due to its microphone on board for Xbox Live chat.

Not many aspects are known yet except its colors and that it will use the standard rechargeable battery. Lauch date might be somewhere at the end of 2008.
