I don’t own a dog, so i can’t know for sure how bad you feel when you lose your dog, but I’m pretty sure you feel very bad. You cant just blame yourself because dogs like to run, like to get away, so sometimes they get lost, its really nobody’s fault.

Until now, the available dog GPS tracking units, were available for more than $600. But things have changed, now Zoomback offers this dog GPS tracker for $200 which is not much when you love your dog. Beside the price of the unit you also have to pay a monthly subscription of $15. This is perhaps because it uses assisted GPS, which adds a cellular transceiver to improve performance, and because the service includes a web-based tracker you can access whenever you want, notification via SMS if the wearer leaves designated “safe” zones, and 24/7 emergency support.

From the picture it looks small enough to be carried by a dog without having problems. The battery life its about 5 days in standby, with alerts sent to cellphone or email when it needs to be charged. Ofcourse a longer battery life would of been nicer but that would of increased the units volume and weight too much.

Build-in 1350 mAh high capacity rechargeable polymer battery. Charge your mobile phone, digital camera, PDA, MP3/MP4 Player whenever and wherever. Style design and convenient to take it with you. The power from a USB port or AC socket can be used as an alternative to using the sun as your source of power. It takes about 60 minutes to fully charge the device, which also features a LED flashlight in the front.

Besides it’s small wich makes it easy to carry, using the sun as the source of power makes this Solar Charger your best friend when you are away from home/office and you don’t have a plug available.

Here’s a hands-on look at Sony’s HDR-TG3E, the world’s smallest 1080i camcorder. Just to recap, it sports a 4.0-megapixel CMOS sensor, 10x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optical zoom lens, 2.7-inch touchscreen, and a BIONZ processing engine. Video after the break.

Impressions are that this is an amazingly small and light camcorder. The size and weight isn’t achieved at the expense of build quality either as the TG3 looks and feels very solid, probably thanks to the chassis being made from titanium. You will be extremely satisfied by the clarity of the images as well as the perfect color contrast.
